Young pop singing sensation and recent big-screen actress Eriko Tamura has been cast to play a Japanese princess in the next season of Heroes. The 34 year old actress has starred in a large number of television shows and movies in Japan, most recently the Japanese film Dakara Watashi wo Suwarasete and the unfortunate Surf School movie by Joel Silverman. In the past, she even had an entire anime series based on her singing career.
Obviously there are few details about her role in Heroes at this point, but just announcing her role gives us a little more insight into where the show will take place.
You can check out more clips of her acting and singing (including a giant milk carton straight out of 2001) after the jump.

That's gotta be something to have your singing career be the basis for an entire series.
I want a slice-of-life anime based on a crew of a japan-related website and how they make their podcasts. Of course plenty of fanservice all around. And don't forget the Moe!
