While we lament the lack of manliness in Japan's squishier citizens, their cybernetic populace certainly warrants hot-blooded "f*ck yeah!"
Kyoto-based Activelink has put together a badass heavy exoskeleton, inspired by the Power Loader machine famously piloted by Sigourney Weaver in the movie Aliens. Though ostensibly intended for use in heavy industry, its true purpose is clear: to kick the crap out of that piddly "HAL" power-assist unit that Cyberdyne systems has crafted.
Well, "kick" might not be the right word, since the thing is still just a "dual-arm power amplification robot," but still, it's certainly a lot more menacing than that iPod-like clown suit, and certainly more amped up than that creepy-ass teddy-bear robo-nurse.
Now, I can't wait to put one on, then wave wildly at the nearest innocent bystander, screaming "GET AWAY FROM HER YOU BITCH!"
