According to a recent survey conducted by the internet research firm Macromill Inc, nearly 61% of married women in Japan have taken it upon themselves to pry into their husband's cell phone to check everything from e-mails to their call history. Seems a bit paranoid, right? Well, I'm sure it hasn't helped their growing divorce rate which, last I checked, was close to 27%.
Out of the 500 married women between 20 and 39 years of age, roughly a third were worried about extramarital affairs, while another third claimed they were merely curious, and the rest seemed concerned that their husbands may be hiding something. Not to point out the obvious, but that kind of mistrust only creates more problems in a relationship, and honestly, if I found out any of my girlfriends had been going through my phone or e-mail without me knowing, the relationship would end there.
Have any of you had this happen before?
