How did we get all the way to Jtor AM Episode 12 without asking for listener questions? I have no idea; I'm going to have to tag everyone involved, myself included, with critical narcissism failure.

Ahoy me hearties! Ready to see Captain Asuka take this battle into space? No problem at all, as Manga UK have released a new trailer featuring the English dub cast for Evangelion 3.33: You Can (Not) Redo. There's still a lit...
Due to his lack of experience with fighting opponents outside of the Akuma and Noah Clan, Allen Walker wasn't GAR enough to go up against Kazuma the Shell Bullet. All it took was one Shocking First Bullet to the face, and the white-haired exorcist went down in a matter of seconds. Kazuma wins! (9 > 0)
There’s something fulfilling about brutally stabbing your opponent with a giant stake after pummeling them with a barrage of heavy missiles and bullets. That being said, of course it's time to feature a brawl between two machines that love to impale their foes in the most brutal way possible.
Fans of 80's anime and powersuits are sure to be familiar with Bubblegum Crisis, the show about a group of mercs called the Knight Sabers fighting robotic threats. A few years ago, the original eight-episode OVA got a gorgeou...
I always find myself hesitant to write about first-person shooters on this site, especially ones developed by western studios. Not because I don't play them, because admittedly I do, but because they simply fail to appeal to...
The robot genre has changed in many ways over the years. For one thing, the stories have become more complicated, incorporating social commentary in an effort to appeal to wider audiences beyond children who are impressed with shiny metal things. Writers will (usually) attempt to give their characters motivations that extend past hot blood, bromances and revenge. Animation has also generally improved, making it possible to have more complicated robot designs that can do more than occasionally leap into the air and drill their flaming limbs into the gooey innards of their opponents.
Godannar is what happens when you get kids that grew up watching those old robot shows and put them in a position of creative power. In a desire to pay homage to the best of classic giant robot shows, the creators also added a good plot, meaningful character development, a solid budget and voice actors that know when to go for camp and when to play it straight.
Mr. Satan may be easy to trick sometimes, but he was lucky enough to pick up on Don Kanonji's tricks. Seeing how he's one of the strongest humans without Ki on the planet, Don falls victim to his dynamic punches and kicks. Mr. Satan wins! (15 > 1)
If there’s one thing that makes giant robots great, it’s the heart and soul that’s placed into creating each machine. And speaking of which, we’re going to kick off this battle with a match between two robots that were built with great effort and love.
This machine was originally built to combat a group of monsters that were attacking Japan; however, the attack came to a halt, so the robot ended up being used as a mascot for the same company that was recruited to create the machine until the attacks resurfaced. He may lack the durability that most super robots have, but Dai-Guard’s titular machine will be able to fight on with Akagi, Ibuki, and Aoyama guiding its path.
Going up against the super robot glass cannon, we have a robot that was built by a young boy’s dad for an evil organization. Instead of allowing the machine to fight for evil, he ends up losing his life to ensure that his son will use Giant Robo righteously. Armed with his trusty watch, Daisaku is ready to give his trusty comrade the signal to strike.
Both robots have their strengths and weakness, so I am intrigued to see how the odds will turn out this week. As an important heads up, the Giant Robo in this battle will be based off of the one from the Giant Robo OVA, and both units will have access to their full arsenal. Your votes and persuasion skills will be the key in determining the real winner in this fight. Be sure to use your determination to add a +1 to the robot that you vote for, since it will let us take note of the damage that’s going on. Dai-Guard and Giant Robo will fight from today till Thursday, so make sure that your vote goes up on time. After the battle comes to a close, you are welcome to drop by during the beginning of the next match to see who wins. Before you get too cozy from last week’s match, I recommend that you head to your seat quick, because these robots are about to launch!
Well, Crono tried to alter the course of time to gain the upper hand, but Zoro's endurance couldn't handle the combined strikes of Guts and Saber. While Saber was facing some teamwork issues with Guts, she was able to whip out her Excalibur and Avalon combo fast enough to prevent Crono from going back in time. Saber and Guts win! (21 > 8)
We’re back to our usual versus matches this week, and I think it’s time that we change things up once again! Thanks to a suggestion from my local friends, we’re having a demigod that’s powered by his own rage against a machine that’s power by the hotblooded will of many individuals! Most would consider this battle to be random, but it’s not like we've had super beings go up against powerful robots in fiction before. So without further ado, let’s introduce our opponents.
He was one of the Eight Guardians at one point in his life, and his rage knows no bound. Despite his anger, his devotion to saving his own daughter is unmatched, as the amount of time he spent on this quest took him longer than our lifespans combined. Tonight he’s here to show us this power, so let’s step out of the way for Asura from Asura’s Wrath to enter the ring.
Simon and his comrades went through a lot to reclaim the freedom of mankind. In fact their own will allowed them to fight against all odds in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Proving to everyone that the Spiral Energy can work in one’s favor, Gurren Lagann is ready to pull out the Giga Drill Breaker once again!
Both fighters have the ability to harness a great amount of energy, so we can expect to see the galaxy tremble in this fight. Just to be clear with everyone, both sides will be going all out in this battle, which means that no one is holding back.
Your votes and persuasion skills will be the key in determining the real winner here. Please make sure that you add a +1 to the fighter that you vote for, since it will let us keep track of the high octane over-the-top action that we’re about to experience here. Asura and Gurren Lagann will be fighting from today till Thursday, so do you best to vote on time. Once the battle comes to a complete stop, you can drop by during the beginning of the next match to see who wins! Now that we’re done with reviewing the usual rules, you can now use the teleporter to go to the Galactic J-Tor Arena!
I have a confession to make.

Despite Haseo's ridiculous game breaking powers, Kirito was able to use his abilities from all of his games to counter Haseo's scythe, great sword, and gun daggers. But alas, the guy could hold up against Haseo's quick knife attacks after Haseo used Rengeki on Kirito. Haseo wins! (16 > 3)
Even though our newest fight went through a delay, it’s still Friday somewhere on the planet; therefore, the next battle in the J-tor Arena is still taking place on Friday! Anyways, I’m now in the mood to see a giant robot battle, so I’m having two robots that can wield a special sword. First up, we have Mia, Rol, Pai, and Lamba from Dangaioh, who are the four psychic super soldiers that pilot the mighty Dangaioh. Originally, these four pilots and their machine were going to be sold to a band of space pirates known as the Bunker, but they were able to change their fate by using Dangaioh against the Bunker’s forces.
Unlike our first opponent, this robot is piloted by a single human being. In fact, many people know him as THE SWORD THAT CLEAVES THROUGH EVIL! Armed with his Colossal Blade, Sanger Zonvolt from the Super Robot Wars series is here to prove that nothing that Dyenguar’s Colossal Blade can't cut!
Both units will be at their full potential during this battle. In other words, Dygenguar will have his access to all of his abilities, along with his Type-3 Colossal Blade. Your votes and persuasion skills will determine the outcome of this battle. Please make sure that you add a +1 to the super robot that you vote for, since it will allow us to keep track of the colossal action on screen. The two massive machines will clash from today till Thursday, so make sure that your vote goes up on time! Once the battle comes to a close, be sure to drop by during the beginning of the next match to see who wins! Once again, I recommend that you head to your seat, because the important title screen is about to show up!
