This week, some staff members who shall remain nameless would rather have a Game of Thrones podcast then talk about silly Japanese cartoons all day. But alas, we are Japanator, not DaenerysTargaryenator, so we must perse... | subscribe

I have a feeling that Crunchyroll has developed a new fetish for the summer season, since magical girls, dolls, and airsoft guns are joining their summer lineup. With that being said, Rozen Maiden Zuruckspulen and F...
Toriko was at an advantage with his strength that's capable of destroying mountains, but Sanji wasn't going to give up that easily. Despite, Sanji's refusal to use his hands in combat, his mastery over his kicking techniques were enough to stop Toriko in his tracks. After the match was over, Sanji cooks up his specialty dishes for Toriko to enjoy. Sanji wins! (7 > 6)
A thought came to my head the other day, and I realize that we haven’t had a spaceship battle in the J-tor Arena in a good while. That said, let’s fix this problem by having two ridiculous crews engage in another space battle. Their expedition to restore the Earth was a dangerous, and they were able to take down the Gamilans along the way. Everyone give a salute, because the Yamato from the Space Battleship Yamato series is flying in. This next ship is commanded by a man who’s been known to be a tactical genius or an incompetent buffoon who happens to be super lucky. Don’t underestimate the ship’s appearance, since the Soyokaze is commanded by none other than Justy Ueki Tylor from The Irresponsible Captain Tylor. It’s obvious that we know who the stronger ship is, but it’s going to take a good captain to manage their crew towards victory! Things can go any way, so the possibilities are endless.
Your votes and persuasion skills will be the key in determining the outcome of this battle. Make sure that you add a +1 to the ship that you vote for, since it will help us keep track of the shots that are being exchanged. The Yamato and the Soyokaze will square off from today till Thursday, so make sure that your vote goes up on time. After you return to Earth, be sure to drop by during the beginning of the next battle to see who wins.
The first season of Haganai had a lovely ending, and though I mentioned I was in love with the characters enough to want to read the source material, I actually still haven't gotten around to it. The aim of the first season felt like it was to resolve Kodaka's past with Yozora and establish the Neighbor's Club - get the ball rolling. NEXT opened with a now-established club, with the aim of actually making friends and I suppose resolving Sena's crush on Kodaka.
For a second, I could have sworn that I heard Garou: Mark of the Wolves (aka Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves), but then I realized that this is a new anime license by Sentai that we are talking about. One thing for s...
FUNimation has announced that they'll be simulcasting Haganai NEXT on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. CST starting January 22 when both episodes one and two are added to their site. Here's the brief synopsis:

In case you, like me, enjoyed Haganai (shortening for Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai) and are anticipating the new season starting in January, it's commercial time! There is a short teaser which was posted up by Crunchyroll fea...
Poor Dragonar-1 Custom, he had the proper weapons to obliterate Lancelot Conquista, but not many folks on here got to experience his show. Lancelot Conquista wins! (5 > 2)
Two immense weapons of mass destruction are clashing tonight in the arena, and it has nothing to do with explosives. His Lighthawk Wings are feared by most, but his gang of women can be considered as blessing or curse. Ladies and gentlemen, let's give a round of applause to Tenchi Masaki from the Tenchi Muyo! OVA. Don't let her beauty fool you, because this charming lady wields the holy sword of a true king. Bow down and kneel before Saber, as she is ready to defend her royal honor.
The superior wielder of power will be determined by your votes, knowledge, and persuasion, so let's make this clash a spectacle. And remember to add a +1 to the fighter that you vote for, since it will be easier to keep track of the score count. You have from today till Wednesday to cast your vote, so make sure that your choice goes up on time.

Unleash your blades!
And while you are busy with supporting the true victor, let's take a look at Dragonar's opening in the section below, so that Dragonar-1 Custom's defeat won't be in vain.
Everyone's favourite closet otaku little sister will be returning for a second season of Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai, not that she's happy about that or anything. The announcement comes from the Dengeki Bunko ...
Back when I wrote up my First Impressions piece for Haganai, I had some mixed feelings about what I'd gotten myself into. I quickly learned that the prologue and OP are both quite misleading and came to really enjoy the show!...
