To me, Matsuri is kinda like a work-related vaction. Almost nothing industry related or "news" worthy happens, but you still get to run around and cause mischief. That said, I'm almost afraid that if I don't start writing these down I might forget.

Hit the jump and see the current list of sexy things I want to do at Anime Matsuri. How they turn out will follow later.

God Len's Top Ten: top ten best gifts to receive this holiday season photo

Some of you might have already opened up your holiday gifts, while others are still waiting. There is a good chance that you just might not get what you wanted; and that is understandable, we all have some pretty weird standards after all. However, deep down inside us all there are things we would all love to receive, no matter what kind of otaku you are.

This is where I come in. Here is the ultimate list of the top ten best things an otaku can get this holiday season. Though maybe I should mention that some of these items are impossible to get, but hey I'm an idea man. Check out the entire list after the jump.

Top Ten Seiyuus of 2007
by God Len, 01/25/2008
Top Ten Seiyuus of 2007 photo

I’m sorry, this is not a God Len certified Top Ten list. In fact this is an Anican certified reader choice list for the top ten seiyuus of 2007; which from what I heard, is a lot better than that wanna-be’s crap-tastic list. Lets cut straight to the chase.

The number one pick for the best male seiyuu this year is Fukuyama Jun, who played Code Geass’s Lelouch Lamperouge. And the number one pick for the best female seiyuu this year is Horie Yui who played in such roles as Hanyuu in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, and Siesta in Zero no Tsukaima. If you want to know who else won, you are going to have to check it out after the jump, cause you are not going to find it here.

The top ten manga of 2007. And the winner is… photo

I don’t think I would of posted this article if One Piece didn’t take the top spot, because... where is the fun in that? Now, if you are wondering how this list came into being, well, you have Oricon to thank. They made this top ten by compiling statistics from numerous stores around Japan between the dates of January 1st and December 10th of 2007. However, these are not done per series, but per volume; so it was really One Piece volume 46 that won it all. But, without further ado, here are the rest of the winners:

1.    One Piece Vol. 46
2.    NANA Vol. 18
3.    Nodame Cantabile Vol. 17
4.    Naruto Vol. 37
5.    Fullmetal Alchemist Vol. 17
6.    Hunter X Hunter Vol. 24
7.    Bleach Vol. 28
8.    D.Gray-man Vol. 10
9.    Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Vol. 13
10.   Gintama Vol.17

The Bleach Reincarnation Project
by God Len, 10/31/2007
The Bleach Reincarnation Project photo

Have you ever wondered what happens when anime characters die? If you ask Goku, he might just tell you about the “Other World”, Hell, Heaven, and King Kai; all that sort of stuff. But let me tell you now that it's all just a lie. When anime characters die, they are reborn into Soul Society, like the anime Bleach has been telling us all this time. You can call me a liar, but I have actually spent a year in Soul Society to study this phenomenon first hand. (By the way, there are no toilets in Soul Society, so bring your own.)

Under closer inspection, most of the shinigami within Soul Society are actually anime characters we all know and love reincarnated. After the initial surprise faded, I decided to study some of these shinigami (and hollows) to figure out what anime character a particular shinigami, or hollow had originated from. It was a hard and grueling job, but in the end I believe this great effort was spent wisely knowing the ancestry of our favorite Bleach characters. You can view my findings after the jump.

A challenger has appeared!
by God Len, 08/29/2007
A challenger has appeared! photo

Looks like Screw Attack has made another top ten list, however this one seems to step onto my territory; ninjas! Let me refresh your memory for those of you who might of missed it. Back then, when the world will still young, when dinosaurs were nothing more than funny looking fish, I created: “TOP TEN: God Len's top ten list of greatest ninja ever!”.

Now, many moons later a challenger has appeared. Lets be honest with ourselves here; which list truly has the top ten ninja? The one with Thomas who isn’t a ninja, or the one with Hanzo, who has the word ‘ninja’ tattooed across his penis (don’t ask me how I know that). You be the judge.

Pro tip: God Len wins. (i still love you Screw Attack)

TOP TEN: God Len’s top ten list of the deadliest swords in anime!
by God Len, 07/25/2007

Its been awhile, but my Top Ten is back and better than ever. This time we take a look at the most deadliest swords ever used by animated mankind. This is not a list about the people who use the swords, but a list about the swords themselves. All swords on this list are physical weapons, no beam weapons here. Well they are in no particular order, check out my choices after the jump.

TOP TEN: God Len’s top ten list of the most powerful super robots in history!
by God Len, 06/20/2007

The top ten most powerful robots, something I have been meaning to do for a long time now. But the reason why I chose this week to actually write this top ten is because a certain video game about this very topic will be hitting the store shelves very soon; Super Robot Wars Original Generations for the Ps2. And since I am a die-hard robot aficionado, I could not pass up this moment. There are a lot of robots out there, and a lot of them are insanely strong; strong enough to make this list. But nevertheless, I believe each and everyone of the robots I have chosen are the best of the best. I tried to include for each one a sample of their special moves taken from multiple Super Robot Wars games as proof of their power. Enjoy. Wait, before I start let me just say this: cutting off an Eva’s power will eventually make it useless; so don’t expect them on this list.

TOP TEN: God Len’s top eleven list of best, must see anime from spring 2007!
by God Len, 06/06/2007

Spring is ending and summer is upon us. It is now time for use to say goodbye to the spring and hello to the summer season of anime. But before we do I think its my job to make a list about the top eleven anime from spring 2007. Instead of doing a long winded explanation of each series, I decided to do a one sentence, Hollywood-inspired summery. See the winners in no particular order after the jump.
