Ai Candy: Snow Days photo
Ai Candy: Snow Days
by Karen Mead

Because we can never have enough pretty pictures here at Japanator, it's time for some Ai Candy: awesome fan art that we think you may enjoy. To kick things off, our first theme is characters frolicking in a winter wonderland, i.e. snow. Now you may be thinking "Why pick snow? Winter's just about over!" Oh ho ho, not if you live in New York it isn't! We often get our worst snowstorms in April; upstate, they've been known to get them as late as May.

So while you're likely sitting out under a shady tree, sipping iced tea and enjoying the subtle aroma of freshly-budded flowers as a cool spring breeze kisses your skin, think of me still shivering in my igloo apartment. For me, these snow and ice filled scenes still represent the harsh reality, but for you, please enjoy them as a colorful send-off to the chilly season. Unless of course you live in Greenland or something, then I should probably just shut up. How is it up in Greenland, anyway? I've always wanted to know.
