A Daily Dose of Battles: Chun-Li vs Vega
Let's literally kick things off with our first themed Daily Dose of 2013! The week, your favorite Japanator editors let you know which famous anime battles get their adrenaline going, fists clenched, and showcase what we all crave. Epic battle sequences. Pull out the popcorn and prepare for a trip down memory lane. Don't see your anime being represented? Let us know your favorite scene the comments, and I'll do my best to post the most popular reader battle scene at the end of the week! Jeff Chuang - Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie "My list of favorites is long but this one is towards the top for a variety of reasons. First off, it's got two of the more timeless Street Fighter characters battling it out in a "what if" sort of situation, totally outside of the usual form we see in the games. It's also the best animated sequence in all of SF's history with the anime medium. The fight is choreographed using both the gimmick attacks and more down-to-earth brawling moves you expect in a situation like this, and in amusing, creative ways. To top it off, the animation is simply off the charts, with those puches and kicks coming to life." Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
