One punch says it all

Let's literally kick things off with our first themed Daily Dose of 2013! The week, your favorite Japanator editors let you know which famous anime battles get their adrenaline going, fists clenched, and showcase what we all crave. Epic battle sequences. Pull out the popcorn and prepare for a trip down memory lane. Don't see your anime being represented? Let us know your favorite scene the comments, and  I'll do my best to post the most popular reader battle scene at the end of the week!

Chris Walden - One Piece Episode 396

"This might well end up being the shortest 'battle' on this list, but if I ever think of memorable shonen fights, I always come back to this scene. It's not just that Luffy is an absolute badass, not caring for consequences and defending his friend, but more because the scene echoes a problem we still have in the real world. The Tenryuubito in this scene is absolute scum, hating on fishmen simply because they are fishmen. It's simple racism, and Luffy shows exactly how to deal with it."
