A Daily Dose of Music: J-Game Week
This week we have decided to round up those post E3 vibes, and instead of saving them for Tokyo Game Show, we wanted to share out love for Japanese video games! A huge part of setting the tone, and atmosphere for a game comes down to a wonderful score, which at times can even outshine the game itself! Take a listen to some of the audio enjoyment your Japanator editors have enjoyed, and the games that made us late to class and work. Jeff Chuang: Cibo Matto - Birthday Cake - Jet Set Radio "Majority of the game sounds that charmed me over the years are the flowing orchestral kind and it's hard to just pick from that, so something easier to pick from and yet different would be, say, Jet Set Radio's list of tunes.I don't really have one outright favorite from the list but Birthday Cake always strikes me as the sort of music that works great with the motif of the game, from the bouncy beats to the social criticism stuff. Yea I'm pretty stoked about the re-release." Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
