If you know anything about me, you probably know I am totally obsessed with Transformers. Especially, G1 figures. Today we go far back to the Japanese dub of the Transformers opening theme. The whole lineage of Transformers is a bit complex. Basically the various toys were brought over from different series in Japan by Takara and Bandai, and a story line was created by Marvel Comics and Hasbro in America. They then had Toei create the initial episodes in Japan for a US audience. Those episodes were then later dubbed in Japan and walla, a really twisty road of awesomeness was born.
The Japanese opening Transformer, by Satoko Shimonari gave the show an exciting upbeat start. She later went on to do some other awesome anime intros, but this track always get stuck in my head. I used to think she was saying, "You can BUY, Transformers!"
