A Daily Dose of Music: Rock Week

10:00 AM on 05.28.2012

Every once in a while we like to put our collective sick brains together, and give you an insight into what makes us tick. This week the editors decided to pick up the guitar and jam out! Welcome to rock week! I'm a huge fan of various JRock bands, as well as the rest of the crew. What's got us playing air guitar around the office?

Kicking things off is Japanator's Nendroid loving diva, Kristina Pino. Kristina is slowly making her plans for her journey back to Tokyo, and she's ready to take on all the Shibuya rock and roll night life with some excellent musical taste. She brings us the wild video from Psycho Le Cemu, Ai no Uta. Wild!

"Considering how Japanese rock videos are usually pretty interesting, I had a hard time picking a favorite... I guess this time around I'll go with something fun. Psycho le Cèmu is pretty wacky and they like to wear awesome costumes for their videos (they were pretty big in visual kei and the cosplay world back in the day). I discovered them around when I started networking with more j-addicts in college and whatnot. They aren't really doing anything together these days, but I didn't have any problems finding their old PVs on YouTube. For some reason, other artists gave me lots of trouble, which partially led to this oddball choice. Enjoy!"
