A Daily Dose of Music: Rock Week

10:00 AM on 05.30.2012

Every once in a while we like to put our collective sick brains together, and give you an insight into what makes us tick. This week the editors decided to pick up the guitar and jam out! Welcome to rock week! I'm a huge fan of various JRock bands, as well as the rest of the crew. What's got us playing air guitar around the office?

Stepping up to the plate next is a man with most excellent taste, The Cooking Otaku, Josh Totman. He brings to us the heavy and hunky sounds of Maximum the Hormone and their hit, Koi no Mega Lover. If this doesn't get you head banging on your Wednesday, there's just no hope for you!

"I first came across Maximum the Hormone through the ending theme to Air Master. Their unique style is a mix of pop and metal music with 3 different singers. This leads to an explosion of sound in your ears that hurts so good. One of my favorite videos of theirs is Koi no Mega Lover. This hilarious and often bizarre video takes you all over the place, while we watch a pathetic guy trying to score at a party. Classic"
