ACEN 10: FUNi nabs Sora No Otoshimono, Rosario to Vampire

ACEN 10: FUNi nabs Sora No Otoshimono, Rosario to Vampire photo

As part of their "dominate the market" strategy, FUNimation has announced six new licenses at Anime Central this year: Chaos;HEad, Rideback, Heaven's Lost Property (Sora no Otoshimono), Rosario to Vampire (and season 2), Chrome Shelled Regios and Gun x Sword, a Geneon rescue.

That's quite a load they've managed to pick up, and a nice variety. They've got their ever-popular fanservice base shored up with Sora no Otoshimono and Rosario to Vampire, both of which will see DVD releases in 2011. Gun x Sword and Chrome Shelled Regios will see a release late 2010, while the others will hit sometime in 2011. Meanwhile, Rideback is one of the titles I've seen Madhouse pimping since Otakon of last year, and it looks good -- it's at the top of my "do want" list, for sure.

I'm curious as to how well they're expecting Gun x Sword to do. While I enjoyed the show, as much as I watched of it, I didn't recall it being a spectacular property that will turn much profit. But I suppose having any sort of profit from the title means it's worth it, and might serve you well later on.

We've got the full press release after the jump, flush with descriptions of all these shows. Hive mind of readers, let us know what we should be excited for. We want to hear your picks.
