Advicemaster Asia: Emo tendencies power a Gundam

Advicemaster Asia: Emo tendencies power a Gundam photo

[Welcome to the greatest show on Earth! Here, for your amazement, is the one and only Undefeated of the East, Master Asia!]

You make it sound like I'm some sort of circus freak! How dare you treat someone like they are simply a spectacle to dance and sing for the amusement of others. What I am providing here is an educational service. You should be treating me as you would one of your Northeastern Godless Liberal College Professors.

All Hail King Asia!

I shall punish you for that. I really need a vacation from you. Onto your questions. Come, Fuunsaiki! Be my legs!

I really need one too.

What was that?

Nothing!

Hey, Master Asia!

What's the difference between a "Master" Asia and a "Super" Asia?

-Unit 9001

I am glad you asked that. To put it simply, I only unleash Super Asia when someone has actually proven themselves to be worthy of me using my true potential. Thus far, only That Great Man and his brother, Domon Kasshu have forced me to show my power as Super Asia.

But that does not answer your question, does it? THAT IS BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT A TRUE WARRIOR. You would have interrupted me as soon as I started talking about a different topic, because you knew I was using a diversionary tactic. YOU ARE WEAK.

But in time, you may improve. So, to answer you directly: When I become Super Asia, I assume my role of Master of North, East, South, West and Center. It is a truly fearsome thing: I kill small animals if they simply get too close to me. Pray that it never happens in this lifetime.

Dear Master,

Why is it that every time the world needs saving by a mechanized robot, the pilot has to be an emotionally ravaged youth who's been compelled to fight by circumstance? Is it because giant mechs are meant to run off of emotional turmoil, or is it just a design flaw? And why can't Emo-kids just die already?

-Suicide Help-line Operator '

There is a certain sort of raw emotion and energy formed when a 14-year-old child who has been abused by his parents is forced into a Mobile Suit and told to save the world that actually powers the robot itself. The screaming that Domon and I do -- it's not for show. We are in fact channeling bottled-up childhood trauma in order to keep our Mobile Suits functioning.

That emotional rage also fuels fan interest in those Mobile Suits. So, try as we might in G Gundam to attract attention to ourselves as a piece of quality programming, we cannot compete with Gundam Wing. The show has five teenagers, while we simply had Sai SaiShi! How could we possibly hope to compete.

And the emo-children, they are not dying because you are doing your job. You are the continued reason for their existence. Can you rest easy with that on your conscience?

Master Asia, I need your never ending wisdom!

I'm poor as dirt yet I wanna graduate in a good university, should I whore myself out in the evenings to make ends meet?

-Everyday Punk

Whoring yourself out is not the way to go. Remember, you must save yourself for the sanctity of marriage! I cannot allow my readership to degrade their bodies and condemn themselves to an afterlife of eternal damnation simply because they couldn't keep it in their pants!

Instead, become a butler. The profession will teach you any number of skills, you will meet interesting people, and who knows: you may be able to marry the debutant young lady for whom you are attending to. Who am I kidding, though? Love between the classes? Like such a thing could ever exist!
