Afro Samurai 2: Samurai harder, confirmed photo

Ok, that might not be the real title, but yes, our favorite bushy-haired samurai is back on television. This was confirmed during an interview with Takashi Okazaki himself; you might know him as Afro Samurai’s creator, aka the God of Afro Samurai. Not only is it coming back, but it’s in production as we speak (or as I type); aiming to be released during the first quarter of 2008 on Spike TV.

The ending of the first series was fine and dandy, but if they want to continue on with the ass kicking, then go right on ahead. Okazaki states that the storyline will take place after the final battle of the first series; when Afro accepts the destiny of being the number one fighter. Also, Okazaki tells us that there will be a new female opponent for Afro. Maybe a future love interest? Get excited, I’ll let you in on more information as it comes along.
