AKB48 give out guitar picks at Shinjuku Station

If you've ever been to Tokyo you probably know what a confusing an overwhelming place the Shinjuku JR Station is. It is also home to lots of interesting shops, activity, and is also the place to do promotions. With that many people going though the place, you are bound to pick up some customers.

Yesterday in celebration of their new single GIVE ME FIVE!, which features part of the band playing live as a rock band, AKB48 gave away "AKB48 Baby Blossom Original Picks"! The stuck the pretty cool looking picks to a new poster, allowing fans to peel away their prize, and talk about Mariko's awesome tambourine skills! The 5,000 picks were gone in about an hour, but the poster will be there until the end of the week.

If you haven't been to Shinjuku Station, you must go. It may sound weird to tell someone to visit a train station, but it's so much more. The delicious smells of baked goods lofting through the air is reason enough. Banana Cream!
