Amazon US opens gourmet grocery, tons of Japanese goods photo

A local gourmet grocer is always good. I go to my local joint for imports. Their stock is better than any Asian grocer, and I know for damned sure that the stock is more fresh. (That's a story for another day!)

Now Amazon.com is getting into the game with a newly launched gourmet grocery. I checked out the Japanese offerings this morning and was quite pleased. Under the International section, there's a huge Japanese offering. I haven't been able to find any stumpers yet, meaning that all my faves are here. Many of the offerings are in multipacks or cases, but the price is reasonable, and if you have Amazon Prime, they're next to nothing on shipping. Very, very nice. Nice one, Amazon. Combined with other existing offerings, Amazon is now a one-stop shop for Japanese items.

Here's a list of my picks of some really great offerings on their site:

Serious about the last one: Bulldog Tonkatsu sauce. It tastes good on everything. Chicken nuggets? Yes. French fries? Definitely. Put it on your sandwich. Drink it. I'm all for it. I'm going to get a case today!

Awesome...

...if it's not so expensive!
Gourmet Pocky?
I just bought a bottle of bulldog katsu sause!! Cheers to good taste!
What is this bulldog sauce? My curiosity is piqued, and am definetely interested in trying it out.
@seltzermx is is the condiment of the gods. It's sweet but not too sweet. Little bit salty. Goes good with just about anything. For me it reminds me of all the great food in Japan that I can't get here.
@reptilesandsamurai: Thanks. I guess this is a good a time as any to get an Amazon prime membership. I feel like i'm gonna abuse that shit.

Having never actually been to Japan (yet, crosses fingers), what would people here that know these products recommend?
I need to order some books for school. Maybe I will throw in some kewpie mayo and mochi...
@seltzermx - Poki, lots and lots of Poki... They are chocolate coated cracker sticks... amazing snack food!
Interesting, but I can get all of these at the Mitsura Market, here in town, and honestly the mayo is nasty IMO, never had the other 2.
Try a website called veryasia.com They carry alot of the same stuff and usually at cheaper prices too
