C'mon, you have to admit that, at first sight, you would expect this piece to have come straight out of Gurren Lagann. It looks just like Lagann, after all.

This "Kappa Machine" is actually a piece by Matt Alt, one of the authors of the book Yokai Attack! The Japanese Monster Survival Guide, for a "Kappa Exhibition" show that's going on in Ikebukuro until the 21st. Matt said he'll be throwing up photos of the pieces on his blog later on, so you'll have to check it out there.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the final piece, but I'm more interested in seeing if Matt's piece will start combining with other kappa items to create a giant kappa mecha that will take on the Odaiba Gundam. It's Japan, after all: it could happen.
