I learned a lot of things from Aniki when I was younger. How to fight. How to be a man. How to lead. But now he's gone, and I can't keep trying to lean on him when times are tough.
There's one thing I never forgot that Kamina taught me: There are just some things a man has to see. When I was younger, it seemed like a foolish and brash statement -- something that just didn't make a whole lot of sense. Yet, as I grew up, and as I came to learn about all the different meanings of "becoming a man," I grew to appreciate what he told me.
So, in memory of Aniki and all that he did, I want to share with you some of the things I've seen, and remind you all: no matter what your course is in life, sometimes you need to stop and go after those personal goals of yours. Both the peaks and valleys of humanity are necessary.
