The Starz cable television channel will be kicking off its new monthly special called Starz Inside on September 24th, and one of the first specials in the lineup is about anime. The series will be hosted by Richard Roeper and will cover various interesting film topics. Expect to see Anime: Drawing a Revolution later this year on Starz. This special will look at the creators and pioneers of Japanese animation, and will cover films like Spirited Away, Ghost in the Shell, Princess Mononoke, Akira, The Matrix, Transformers and others. It will also touch on its influences on Japanese culture as well as on Hollywood filmmakers. Also look out for the upcoming Hollywood Goes Gaming, which covers the video games that made it to the big screen as well as movies that have been turned into games.
