This is too cute! Our morning panel was immediately followed by an anime speed dating event. Following some of our new friends we went in for a closer look. I should have mentioned this before, but Redzie was the one rocking out with the robot head. He was kind of a pimp.

Speed dating shouldn't be too bizarre a concept to grasp. Divided by gender, the room was placed at opposites in chairs, and conversed for a minute. After a minute of hard and fast discussion, the bell dings and all the men slide one chair over. The suitor introduces themselves again, and the process continues on. Too cute! The disparity between social awkwardness and con bravery makes me feel like making adorable squee noises. While I'm tempted to make shota jokes about Gia, the entire event was enjoyable. Tim, Redzie, Gia, Alice (our new buddy), and I all had a go at it. Not sure if the procession is for just fun, or in such a way to encourage the social interaction between us otaku.

Granted, some awkwardness may have come from costumes the suitors wore. Truly, some people were less receptive to my bathrobe costume, but everyone had a good time.
