It's actually been going on for awhile now. Every weekend, VS Arashi has aired with a half-hour slot on Fuji TV, pitting the boy band against random celebrities in a multitude of American Gladiator-esque competitions. I honestly had no idea this was going on until I read about the show being moved to Thursday nights. With its new "golden time" slot, it'll be airing for a full hour starting at 7:00 PM, during the highly sought-after prime time hours.

It's brilliant, really. if you're like Colette, you'll be watching to see some of your favorite J-Drama stars. If you're like me though, you'll want to see which of your favorite musicians and celebrities try to take them on. For example, we have a few clips from a recently aired episode where Gackt attempts to take on Arashi while dressed in boots, which you can see after the jump. While he doesn't fare too well, his partner does a pretty good job of winning the competitions for them. It's entertaining though, so you should really take the time to watch them. Who knows, maybe you'll be scouring Youtube for more after this.
