Atsuko Maeda gets terrorized in The Complex

Jan 21 // Hiroko Yamamura

Scary kids aplenty

Former AKB48 leader, Atsuko Maeda returns to the big screen with the upcoming horror flick, The Complex. The new teaser doesn't tell us too much, but from what I know the story revolves around Acchan's character, Asuka moving into a haunted apartment, and we can probably all guess that things don't work out so well from there.

The film is set to premier at the International Film Festival in Rotterdam, on January 27th, with the Japanese release following on May 18th. Is it an absolute requirement to have creepy kids in Japanese horror movies?
