AX 09: Sexy swag wrap up; now with more swagger

I know we ran a list at the end of the first day, and I meant to keep that up but with so many things going on, we ended up being pressed for time. Not to mention the fact that I waited until the last day to do the majority of my shopping-- that is, if you don't count the field trip we made to Book Off on Saturday afternoon. Still I had my eyes set on an item which I absolutely had to obtain, and obtained it I did. So here we are with the final list, and this time we kept the food out of it.

It looks like Brad and I were the biggest spenders, and while I thought he'd probably end his spree after the first day, he kept going. I wasn't quite able to top his expenses, but I might I might have if you added in the hotel parking. Still, in terms of goods, I think Brad had us all topped.

Check out the itemized list after the jump and be amazed by how deep our pockets were.

With CDs alone, Brad's updated purchase list includes the Neo Genesis Evangelion and Addition soundtacks, the End of Evangelion Soundtrack, the We Love Katamari soundtrack, as well as Chemistry's Four album, Yume by Sophia, Netherworld Harmony: Inauguration--which looks to be some sort of Disgaea music collection, Ryuichi Sakimoto's Us. He also picked up Chemistry's Tokage single feat. John Legend, and a Disgaea 3 assets disc which I'm sure he didn't mean to buy.

In terms of anime, he managed to pick up the Gungrave complete collection, the Moby Dick anime--which I still think looks epic, Romeo x Juliet part 1--which I'll be recommending later tonight, and the Samurai Champloo collection. I'm especially jealous of that last one, as I've been meaning to watch that series for quite some time and haven't gotten the chance. I know it aired on Cartoon Network awhile back, but I really was hoping to just marathon it when the DVDs hit the market.

Brad also picked up the Pluto vol.3 special edition coffee table sized art book. I know he was looking for the other volumes by he got such a good deal on it. In fact, I think it was only $3 , but you'd have to ask him about that. He also picked up that Ulimited Saga art book I mentioned in the previous post for merely $5, as did I. He also bought the Vacation manga by the creator of Goth, whom I think was Otsuichi--but don't quote me on that.

Finally he snagged the BlazBlue special edition, which I believe he intends on reviewing for us all. Having played the game, I can straight up tell you that it's absolutely fun and worth every penny. That said, you have to have some love for Guilty Gear to truly appreciate the game. It's the spiritual successor after all.

As for my purchases, they were small in number but the two Shunya Yamashita figures I bought more than made up for that in cost. I itemized the prices in the the picture I attached, but I'll go over exactly what I bought for you any ways. First of all, there were the two figurines. Mirei-san and Nomnom, each of which cost roughly $70 and are part of my ever growing collection of all things Shunyama. Of course there were also the art books, which included the Ulimited Saga artbook from earlier, as well as the Macross Frontier Fanbook and Ugetu Hakua's Flamboyant which usually retails for about twice what I paid for online. The three discs you see there are the Chemistry album, Second to None, as well as Sophia's Alive and Shizuka Kudo's I'm not.

So that about sums up the purchases. I can't imagine spending more at any other cons this month, but I know we're probably going to. If we do, I'm sure we'll fill you in. Did anyone of you bring home some amazing purchases? We'd love to hear about it.
