I sure hope they put this on Adult Swim. It seems like an ideal series for that block. But what was the matter with the previous dub? ADV's a good company aren't they?

Even *I* will buy it if there are 9 eps per disc and no dub. That's like...it's like they are reading my mind...10 YEARS AGO.

Amazing turn of events in regards to this pile of... anyway, I do remember how the show's directors got shafted out by the third (The THIRD) episode. It even got delayed because of that shake-up. This show even decided that it really wasn't a "shonen" adventure so the audience gets the show run by the blow-hard rather than kid, I've not seen much of the show since I got Real tired after the 5th episode and I decided to watch the last episode to see how it concluded. They started with a kid and ended it with the dude, wheee.. what a burn on that kid eh?

And now we know that ADV got the promos and ads boasting the release for a while then to a reveal that Bandai Ent. gave them the boot and brought in their boys to take over just like the what happen to Ranma 1/2 when the original group got the boot (or reboot) by the 14th episode! Or just like that show with the weird ass heads with limbs coming out of them followed along by the screaming and the yelling and hammers and drill fetishes... not even worth the rent for anyone in my opinion except for impressionable children who can squeal with all the wacky animation while letting all the silly Adult ploddings- plottings go over their heads.

To be honest I'm kind of disappointed...

Not at the fact that it's coming out mind you, don't get me wrong I'm very happy it's finally going to be here, but I was really hoping it'd come with bonus swag of some sort....hopefully they'll give it at least some bonus stuff to come with it like they're doing with Haruhi and L*S...

The only other thing is that I was honestly kind of looking forward to hearing it dubbed... (having watched it over eight times subbed, I was hoping to have something new when it came out here)

Why is this important news or even remotely amazing?

Most of us here have already watched the show at least twice so far. Don't tell me you guys didn't because this whole freak'n blog was Guren Lagann crazy last year. You guys couldn't past a day without posting one Gurren Lagann news post.

However I am impressed at the speed that they'll be releasing the anime. 3 volumes (9 episodes each) of goodness over 3 months. Now that is news worthy. Too bad I already watch the show.

Maybe these guys need to step up and hurry up and not release anime 1 year after it finishes in japan.

Anyhow, good news... I guess. It sucks that I have to wait until 09 to get the dub... I hope it will air on TV before then.

This equation is not only groundbreaking, it fulfills most every aspect that the dub hating, fansub watching viewer demands.

Oh, did we meantion that its happening in three months? What about this isn't news worthy? On principal alone this marks a huge potential shift in the distribution of shows in the US. What if the majority of hot titles start having "Cheap, sub only volumes" coming out three months after they acquire the title.

Heero: Ehh, I want the bells and whistles on my special edition, not my speed disc. Hopefully the dub'll come equipped with Kamina Glasses or Yoko action figures.

This is amazing news. The fact that they're going to put out NINE episodes per DVD is pretty incredible. I wonder if they're going to be a bit cheaper, since they don't have to spend money on voice acting?
