There are plenty of ways to shoot film, but none quite as unique as the Doryu 2-16 Pistol Camera. This gadget is a "serious camera" for the Japanese police, as they use it for...taking footage, I can only assume. While I understand what the camera itself is being used for, I don't quite get why it's mounted on a pistol. Isn't waving around a gun more suspicious than holding a FlipCam?
I suppose it has to do with the 16mm film lenses that the gun can equip itself with -- but still, holding it as a pistol would still present some fairly shaky footage, especially with no clear way as to how to mount it. Still, I'm curious to see how they use it and the results they've produced.
Camera nuts (Ace0fClub5, in other words), would you be interested in trying to shoot with this? Do you think you could even get any results that'd be worth showing out of it? Actually, I do know of one. Check out the video after the jump.
