Oh snap, son! It looks like our Gungrave contest was so popular that it insipired Convergence Entertainment to option the live-action rights to Gungrave. The game/anime film is slated to have a $30-$35 million budget, and with any luck will feature Japanator in some way shape or form. Or at least so I can hope.
Convergence is also holding onto the rights for a Clocktower film, and is currently in post production on The King of Fighters film. At least this is an action-packed title, where we won't have to worry about a lot of plot or anything, right? Oh wait, that's what I figured with Dragonball: Evolution.
If you'll excuse me, I'll go back to thinking about the Halo anime for a while and try to forget this.
The show was advertised as super-zombie killing other zombies, but really spent 90% of the show building up to that with an awesome mob drama.
The movie will probably be all like HOLY CRAP ZOMBIES AND COWBOY HATS AND GIANT FREAKING COFFIN.
