I have some sad news for those of us who are currently watching Gundam 00. According to Moon Phase, an official flyer distributed within bookstores decreed that the second season of Gundam 00 will air in October of 2008. For those of you who don’t understand time or were born on a different planet, that is almost a year from now! Season one will consist of episodes 1 through 25, while the second season will start at 26 and will probably end at 50; though it’s currently unconfirmed.

Why can’t Sunrise ever run a series without having to take a breather in the middle? This first happened with Code Geass, and we are currently waiting for its second season to air (if it ever airs). However, being an optimistic, I believe Sunrise can use this break to really iron out the story and hopefully make it sparkle. Still, it’s going to be a long year.
