well anime dont pull an abundance of watcher; during these hard-times they've got to cover there bases by giving what the majority of what people watch. i dont think adultswim wonts too but its probable the only viable option they have.

It's pretty obvious that Adult Swim is getting worse and worse with every new "show" they make. Anime was the only reason I bothered to watch but their crappy hours and constant line-up changes have just turned me off completely. Way to keep viewers, Adult Swim!

Regardless, it seems that anime on English-speaking TV has become one of the unfortunate casualties of the recession that anime outside of Japan is experiencing.

Alot of people think they may be taking Code Geass R2 off the air because Bandai has fallen behind on the dub but I'm not sure if that is true because that happened before and they said that was the reason and when the show would be back so I think it might have something to do with ratings.

That said I am sick of the way Adult Swim treats their anime fans. They have made it quite clear countless times through promo's and whatnot that they don't like us and yet they continue to get anime for their line up. makes no sense to me.

@Heero Yuy: I loved Megas XLR, Jamie and Coop were just so awesome to me.

@Reibooi: Thats what I'm hoping for. It happened with Bleach so I don't see why it wouldn't happen again. But, it could just be Adult Swim's sucky support of anime.

Also, I wish they weren't showing re-runs, but instead showing 2 Episodes of Bleach a night. At least then there would be more to watch. I'm not to worried about Naruto though.

I actually really like [adult swim]. Granted they don't treat their anime watchers very nicely, but that's because anime brings the utmost of shit ratings (thanks to the people who think dubs are beneath them). The fact of the matter is, SciFi and [adult swim] are the ONLY channels on basic cable that show anime, and decent anime at that (although I don't think SciFi cares very much seeing as their only notable series were Gurren Lagann and Noein and it's not even available on their website)

Yes, Tim & Eric Awesome Show is really, really weird, but these guys have some serious balls to do what they do (and I wonder why they've had headliners like Michael Cera, John C. Reilly, and Jeff Goldblum.) Their live shows frequently sell-out and all I want to do is sit on you.

And have any of you tried to watch Super Jail? That show is amazing! Even if you don't like the gratuitous violence and gore, the animation style and creativity is astounding.

And I'm grateful Naruto stopped. I stopped watching it after I saw the third pinky promise.

Well, at least Naruto won't be airing for awhile, but man, Code Geass R2? What a crappy place to have it on hiatus (last episode was ep. 15).....& I'm waiting until Bleach gets done with those Bounts/Bounds/whatever they're called.

Like others have stated, Naruto went to hell after the Naruto/Sasuke fight. It's been ALL downhill since then. Same with Bleach altho I still watch it. The Bount storyline is crap/filler and was just a holdout until the Arrancar storyline got going in the manga. I watched afew of those eps online ( subbed bleah ) and they were awesome, nothing boring like these Bount ones. At least they havent killed that series.......... yet.

And I am way pissed about CG R2. I loved the first series and really enjoy the second. Now I have to wait once more to *MAYBE* get it finished off in another 7-9 weeks like other sites have reported? Lemme tell ya AS/CN.... God forbid you ever poll anyone about your Anime setup/programming, you'll get an earful you prolly don't want. If you even care anymore that is.....

shame on you you CN, seriously adult swim was originally an uncensored anime block that had good shows, why dont they bring back the classics like outlaw star, and the original gundam, or show more mech animes, you can never go wrong with mech (Eva plz), and yeah honestly whats with the live action shows on CARTOONnetwork?

Well, if you've followed Adult Swim and paid attention, you would know that they've tried really hard to get anime to catch on. But the problem is anime ratings are always really low. If more people watched [as] anime, they wouldn't need put such an emphasis on comedy.

So you can point the finger at [as], but it's not their fault comedy pulls in a lot higher ratings, it's the viewers who don't watch anime.

yeah, ive given up on Adult Swim a long time ago. Roughly about the same time i stopped caring about Television in America. So yeah, the only reason I have a television is for my Playstation 2.

Super Jail is indeed awesome though. Weird, but awesome. Take A Look Around You is entertaining as well.

@ProtoKnuckles: Unfortunately it's not the kind of cosplay that stands out in a crowd like say, something with an oversized prop.... I just wished they had made a DVD release of the show. The only way I was able to obtain it was a torrent with TV rips of it.

Give it some time... if enough folks start missing their anime fix, a noise will be heard by jerks at AS. I really really really wish the Anime Network would go to cable..! (as well as satellite). I mean I am an American, but I cannot stand 99.999% of the animation produced here... it just sucks. And I mean big 'SUCKS'!

Don't give up on adultswim just watch the decent shows and skip the bad. My entire computer crashes when I try to get on the adultswim website. Also they have Fullmetal Alchemist and a new show called Kekaishi(I think that's how you spell it).
