I knew, I knew, Madoka Magica would hamper my ability to enjoy the concurrently running season of Precure. I watch the new Precure dutifully every year because damn it, I love magical girl shows.*

*True story: The profile next to my picture in my fifth grade year book reads like this: "Favorite Activity: Bike riding, Favorite Food: Cheesecake, Favorite TV Show: Wedding Peach, Favorite Book: Animorphs, My Hero: Sailor Moon, When I Grow Up I Want to Be: A Teacher". My mother got upset with me because most of the other kids put "My Hero: My parents" or "My mom". I never regretted my answer.
