Not that relevant thought to start the conversation:
What is this? How did this happen? The Top Tens is attracting pop fans in hoards anyway, some wiser than others, and while personal vote goes 100% to Miku...just how is she keeping that standing?
Unfamiliar with her competition? See: Kpop's biggest. Super Junior; ten impressively handsome young men (Early-mid 20s?) with some great vocals and a selection of Kpop's best choreography. For an example, their 2011 release was the beautiful, "Mr. Simple". So we'll just focus on SuJu and Miku for the moment...
Because Miku, surely there's international influence happening in the polls (Assuming first TTT is west-oriented which it very much seems to be, so.)? Kpop can lead on its own with only the west hitting Vote, no doubt--the past year, global domination is where Kpop has really been pushing hard. Miku, of course, being what she is, also has a global fan base which extends to the west--but to this point? versus the world's favorite South Korean idols? Some JP person shared the infos. Surely. (Especially since it's all fangirls voting. See: After Miku; everyone. Fans of "Alice Human Sacrifice" wouldn't overtake the competition; there's real conviction happening.)
Anyway, that all isn't that relevant. Thoughts, guys? Think it deserves thoughts, even if it's all a lot of fantasy and fangirls. Kpop is really an outstanding breed of music, and everyone here knows who Miku is, right?
In theory, would the electric angel performing as live as she can get at the 2012 Olympics be a good thing? Feel free to comment on the Kpop as well or anyone else really--but this is Japanator. Some Asian-ness would probably be prudent.
Imo; somewhat of a terrifying thought. Really, how would people respond to her? It seems extremely possible that she is too different, too obviously, ahem, virtual and robotic to be anywhere near acceptable let alone really lovable if she just apparated onto the stage and started singing. And, how would people see her? Gotta get a center seat for a Miku show, ohoho.
So yeah. It seems like a poor idea, it does, wonderful as she is. Maybe serve up some Kpop with Miku on the side.
