Who can forget that awful ear-rape known as Koi no Mikuru no Densetsu in the first televised episode of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu? The episode where if you weren't careful and had planned to sit down and watch the series with a bunch of people who have befriended you, telling them you have heard good things about this animé, and it would be cool to watch it together.
The only way to salvage the tune (and whatever remains of your credibility) no doubt worked upon by the composers over several weeks is to rewrite it as an orchestral arrangement.
