The Scary World of Obscure

Growing up the son of a movie buff, it didn't take me long to come and love animation. One of my first loves was Nausicaa: Valley of The Wind (Warriors of the Wind then. Silly Weinstein Brothers) yet, the full scope of Japanese Animation did not come to my full attention till I was in 4th grade. My brother and I rented Tank Police and Project A-ko. I was instantly hooked and became obsessed with anime. So then on, My dad and I started building a collection of purchased and recorded anime features. My father was a very organized man, having a card catalog of everything he recorded onto VHS. So finding any feature was a breeze and each tape was labeled. However, I came across something that was not labeled. Curiosity drove me to find out what was on the tape. Yet my curious mind could never have prepared me for what I was about to witness. After viewing, I asked my dad with a terrified look upon my face of what was on this tape. He was busy with something, quickly looked at the tape and said "Dark Star." Yet, as I have gotten older and my father has since passed, no knows of this anime or what it's true name might be(I think my father may have been misinformed).

I'll give a brief description of this animated feature and hope someone will have some insight to help me find the name of this feature. Middle age, male, drifter (Blonde) is driving through a heavily forested area, at night, in an orange jeep. Along the way, he finds a young male (brown hair), who is looking to become a priest/minister and is in the process of doing so. The two drive along and find themselves lost and decide they need to find a place to stay for the night. They come across a large, castle looking mansion or estate and decide to see if they can stay there for the night. They enter and find a blonde woman (who ends up being a demon or devil that feeds off of humans). The woman has a maid as well. To quickly recall the most notably and disturbing scene I've seen in anime, The woman has a discussion with the maid and the woman becomes aggravated with her maid and decides to punish her. The woman removes her clothes to reveal she now has a male body, from the head down, along with two male genitalia.

And that's where the tape ended. It was the worst case mind F--- I've ever endured, especially at a young age. If anyone has any answers to my inquiry, it is much appreciated. My brain just hurts just thinking about it.

PS- It was English Dubbed too. Absolutely the worst dubbing ever recorded as well. I'd venture to say this is the Manos: Hands of Fate of Anime.
