You guys are familiar with
Cyber Connect 2 right? the guys that made
Asuras Wrath and the previous HD Naruto games? Yeah remember how awesome
Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 was?
The open world adventure story mode with exploration and NPC's, side quests, random encounters and story mode battles with amazing set piece action that was both mind blowing and crazy fanservice for Naruto fans. Yeah none of that is in UNS Generations, none!
The lame excuse of a story mode is just an arcade version of the vs battle system which to be honest is rather stale and not the strong point of this series. Nobody plays these games as a fighter, they play them for the awesome set piece action in the story mode.
I am so sad I traded in my UNS2 for this pile of crap, Im gonna trade this in for Asuras Wrath tomorrow because its pretty obvious thats where Cyber Connect put their collective efforts.
The character models are re used, the stages are re used, even the moves and special abilities are kind of watered down. giving me extra characters is not gonna resolve the fact that you removed the best aspect of the entire game.
I hope Namco Bandai learn from this and make the next Naruto game just as good as UNS2. There is a reason UNS2 sold a shit tonne of copies and theres a reason Cyber Connect 2 are getting all this praise for both UNS2 and Asuras Wrath.

Bottom line, dont buy this game, buy Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 and stick with that, better yet go buy Asuras Wrath.
