Yeah, I loved the original anime movie and what I've seen of the spin-off anime Blood+. I'd have totally seen this were it released in my area. Anyone know what the production costs were?

They opened internationally first, though, didn't they? I imagine they had a better international showing than in the US. ... Can't wait 'til it opens near me. I'll totally buy tickets to it ... not because I think it'll be a good movie, but because I want to show some level of support that'll encourage the industry to release more (and better) Japanese titles in the US.

Till when will it stop showing? Really wanna see this film and hopeing Death Note fairs well westernized.

I saw it this weekend actually...it was overall okay...it was pretty short though, in comparison to other anime adaptations, I thought. There were times where I thought the acting was kind of...exasperated. But I went with a group of friends, so the overall experience was all well and we had a good time.

I wanted to go. It's playing at the Chinese Theater and I may yet end up seeing it in theaters. But. . . $13 a ticket is pretty harsh for a movie that's an hour and a half long. . .

It's SHIT SHIT SHIT! I hope this movie dies. I love Blood (anime, blood +,ect.) but this just took hold of my dreams and smashed them into pieces. The anime section is over in the first 20 minutes pretty much, and then it's all about this American girl called Alice. who the fuck is Alice? And the fight scenes are the worse edited fight scenes since, god, I can't name a film that bad. While watching that film I wanted to tear out my eyeballs and thought of better things my £5.40 could of been used on, such as eating it as it would of hold more enjoyment.

phew...I feel better now.

One month ago in Penang, Malaysia, I watched the live-action adaptation of Blood: The Last Vampire, and I wished I had watched Sam Raimi's Drag Me to Hell instead.

Things would have happened had I known Blood: The Last Vampire would have no passing resemblance to the awesome Production I.G, anime beyond the name Saya, her serafuku, and the token American airbase:

1) Watch Drag Me to Hell with my friends instead;
2) Not become completely exasperated over the disrespect shown to the original material;
3) Express my incredulity over how it was possible to ruin a "too good to be done wrong" movie;
4) Not feel an intense urge to kill myself.

It doesn't even show up in a search of my local theaters in a 25 mile radius. So much for that.
