Boring, dumb, card game anime Chihayafuru gets 2nd seasonOkay, lemme give you a precursor: Lately, I've been fascinated...fascinated... with reading a lot of josei manga. You know, the kind of manga made for middle-aged women. I have absolutely no idea why I suddenly began browsing through all sorts of titles (maybe cuz I think old ladies are hot xoxo), and I'd be hard pressed to give you an answer in the future I bet, but I began finally looking into noteworthy series' like Nodame Cantabile and Tramps Like Us, plus I ordered my first volumes of Honey and Clover after finishing the superb anime adaptation. Naturally, it led me to reading 15 volumes of Chihayafuru, the original manga to one of my absolute favorite (and criminally underrated) anime from the last 12 months. Talk about timing: this announcement, which broke not too long ago and was tipped to us by our very own Jon Willis from Tomopop, didn't include too many details, but it'd be safe to assume that this season will be animated by studio Madhouse once again and (hopefully) be around 24-26 episodes, similar to the first season. Sadly, no release date yet announced for the anime. Hell, it'd be wonderful if there was at least a release year given, but all there is so far to go on is just a tease of more things I like, but can't have for a really long time. What terrible timing... I just got over this feeling with AAA video games now that E3 is done with, and forget filling the gap by reading the manga, because I just finally caught up with the goddamn thing in three days, too. At least I have pictures of Kanade to cheer me up. [Via: Moetron] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
