Brace yourself! Project X Zone looks like Namco x CapcomThis wasn't much of a surprise, since the fact that the teaser news for this project had an X between the three company's names. Taking into account that there was also Namco x Capcom for the PS2, it was inevitable that Project X Zone is also going to be a strategy RPG. There is also a gallery of images showcasing the artwork and attacks of the characters that are going to appear in the game. Based on the images, the game looks like a spiritual sequel to Namco x Capcom. Which means that you will have the privilege to mash buttons like a maniac as your characters perform their signature moves when you attack your foes. I doubt that it will get localized in the west, since there are a few characters that have only appeared in games exclusive to Japan, which might have been the same reason why Namco x Capcom never got localized. However, there might be a chance that another company such as Atlus and XSEED might want to take a chance with the game, considering that Atlus did localize three Super Robot Wars games in the past. Yet the possibilities of this happening are still very slim, seeing as there is still a risk involved with the title if one can afford the licensing fees and what not. I guess we will have to see if a fan translation group will find a way to bypass the 3DS's region lock and come up with a patch that can work on the actual copies of the game. You can check out the screenshots of the game in the gallery below the jump. If you are not familiar with any of the characters shown, I have also listed the characters that have been announced from the sources. [via Destructoid, Andriasang] For the Capcom side, we have Ryu and Ken from the Street Fighter series, Megaman X and Zero from the Megaman X series, Dimitri from the Darkstalkers series, Dante from the Devil May Cry series, and Jill and Chris from the Resident Evil series. Pulling out an interesting move, Sega brings us Sakura Shinguji and Ichiro Ogami from the Sakura Wars series, Pai and Akira from the Virtual Fighter series, Kurt and Riela from Valkyria Chronicles 3, Ulala from Space Channel 5, and Touma from Shining Force EXA. Finishing off with the last roster, Namco Bandai delivers a few unexpected characters to the table. Sanger Zonvolt from the Super Robot Wars Alpha series (Starting with Alpha Gaiden.) and the Original Generations series will use his sword to smite evil. They are also bringing us Jin and Ling Xiaoyu from the Tekken series, Yurie and Estel from Tales of Vesparia, Kos-Mos and T-elos from the Xenosaga series (T-elos first appeared in the third game.), and Kite and Black Rose from the .hack series.
