It has only been a day or so since we saw how Kamen Rider Wizard looks like, and now we are seeing more info related to the new series as the premise and cast is revealed at a press conference.
Apparently, the whole story begins with a solar eclipse ritual that ended up summoning legions of demons upon our world. The show's main Rider Soma Haruto (Played by Shunya Shiraishi) happens to be one of the survivors of this ritual, and he obtains his belt from a White Wizard -- Gandalf? While Soma is depicted as a character that hides his emotions, he makes up for it by living a carefree life. When Soma is not focusing on fighting any demons, he puts his priorities towards eating donuts.
Since rings happen to be related to antiques, Soma lives in an antique shop with a mysterious girl named Koyomi (Played by Makoto Okunaka) that is unsure of her race. Next we have Shunpei Nara (Played by Junki Totsuka), a man who hopes to become a wizard by getting Soma to teach him the ways of the magical arts. Soma won't be alone in his battles as he is aided by a police officer going by the name of Rinko Daimon (Played by Yuko Takayama). Since Soma is probably too busy to run an antique shop, Shigeru Wajima (Played by Hisahiro Ogura) will act as the shop's owner and the creator of Wizard's rings.
Besides the abilities that we know of so far, Wizard is also able to change into forms that go by the name of Styles. Fire Style (Default form), Water Style, Hurricane Style, and Land Style are the forms that we have been shown so far. To add the the mystery that is the art of magic, the powers behind Wizard's rings can only be revealed when they are used -- talk about a double-edged sword.
Judging by the premise so far, Wizard has my full attention. So am I the only one that is interested in checking out the new series, or is anyone else going to give it a watch.
