You have no idea just how excited I am for the upcoming adaptation of The Legend of Koizumi. It's going to be epic on a scale that we've never even seen before. Screw going all the way up to 11 -- this goes up to 19.

So I was rather happy to see this morning a bit of news from New Akiba pointing out that the Koizumi website has updated with their cast announcement, and boy is this turning out to be an interesting cast. We've got Jun Fukuyama and Jouji Nakata taking on some major roles -- you might know them as Lelouch from Code Geass and The Count of Monte Cristo from Gankutsuou.

The director, Tsutomu Mizushima, has already cut his teeth directing Big Windup, the Genshiken OVAs and xxxHolic, which can only be good. The animation studio, TYO Animations, is relatively new -- this will be their first series where they're handling animation production themselves.
