Persona's been pretty darn well received state side, so I see no reason why it won't be released here as well. They'll change the box art though lol

To be honest this game is already in danger of not getting a US release or getting a heavily censored one if it does.

The trailer alone shows what seems to be a sex scene that goes farther then anything we have seen in a western release and that was the trailer. There is a very real possibility that the final game goes even further and if that happens say good bye to a US release. We also have Atlus saying that game is gonna have plenty of Erotic content and we don't know exactly what they mean by that but nudity and sex scenes are probably a given considering the trailer.

Alot of people have been saying stuff like "Oh it will be fine we got Heavy Rain uncensored and God of War III had nudity in it" But what you need to keep in mind is the art style of Catherine. It's animated and the US still has a issue with thinking everything animated is for kids so there is a very real chance that even if Atlus wanted to release it unedited in the US that the ESRB would give the game a A rating therefor dooming it to either being edited or flat out never released.

I would love to see the game released in the US uncut. Seeing as it's Atlus there is a possibility that all the erotic elements play into some deeper story or message and with the content cut it would possibly impact the game itself.

Seriously, they can put whatever the hell they want on the cover, as long as the game gets licensed and brought to the West.

In all due respect, fuck conservative American parents. They're responsible for keeping their kids away from images of hot, sopping wet, sticky things like Catherine's moist, tender red lips and her supple bosom, heaving each and every time she takes a virtual breath, as well as any possible images of her slowly devouring ripened bananas and/or slurping the sweet nectar from fresh fresh oysters.

Hey, just wondering, but does anyone know the title of the classical music that starts at 0:25 and ends at 1:20 is? I've racked my brains (and mp3 collection) and connot come up with it. It remindes me so much of at track off the Noir OST, but I'm sure thats just based off the same work then.

I still hope that we get the game over and that all we get is a change of box art like how many games from Japan have in the past. Over all it has the bizarre and stylish setting that Atlus has been doing with the Persona games lately. I have faith in Atlus if they decide to bring it over. If not, then there is always importing it for ps3 and pray that someone creates a translation faq for the story and the game play.

Seriously, parents need to stop being over protective of their kids being exposed to mature things. If they get corrupted, its the parents fault for not teaching them whats is right and what is wrong. An example can be when one of the editors at kotaku wrote about how he played GTA with his kid and he manage to explain to his son about why he shouldn't imitate any of the things in the game. In the long run the kid learned something new and the guy doesn't have to worry. I even have a friend who exposed his infant son to the Freddie and Jason movies and he actually enjoys them. This proves that you can over come children corruption by teaching them the essentials and help them be prepared for if they get exposed to it, along with having dedication and commitment. To me censorship exists because of people being stupid to some extent.

Maybe have a regular more conservative cover, and then a special cover for those who preorder or make a limited edition package with the more sexy boxart.

Hmmm... why do I seem to think of the movie "Jacob's Ladder" when I watch this trailer?

I'm not sure if that is the box art of the game since the whole design of it will make for a bad cover. And if it is I expect Atlus USA to change it when it comes state side.

I really don't understand why sexual content is such a big deal here in the US.... I mean, a guy and a girl going at it is FAR more normal and like nature intended compared to people's heads being chopped off, brains blown out, etc.

To put it simply, I don't understand why extreme violence is so much more acceptable than sexual content that's usually "creatively censored" anyway.

That said, why would something like this not be ok, yet stupid garbage like DOA Extreme Beach volleyball or Niptuck can get away with it? I hope this comes stateside 100% unchanged - and if Atlus does that, well, double high-fives and money to them.

The game has been rated CERO C (age 15 and up) in Japan so I'm thinking it's not quite as explicit as it suggests. If it comes state-side it would likely get an M rating just like the Persona games did.

I will literally cry and sulk in a corner if this game doesn't get released here in the states [uncensored]... But that's okay, it gives me time to learn Japanese, so I can just buy the Japanese version.
