Celebrate 15 years of Pokemon films with a Pokemon film photo

Let's go back to 1999 for a little while. Scary, I know, but bear with me. I was just another kid caught up in the Pokémon craze that was milking money from parents all over the world, and I was helping contribute to that by convincing my dad to take me to see the first movie. Back then, I had no interest in the film. I only wanted to go so I could get one of those awesome promo trading cards! However, I walked out of the cinema in sheer amazement. I absolutely loved it, even though as a kid you couldn't really tell the difference between that and a regular episode, besides the length. My dad couldn't say the same, as he'd promptly fallen asleep about half an hour into it.

This is where my dark secret comes to light. Even after the craze died down and everyone got older, I continued to keep up with the films. I'm not sure you can call it nostalgia when the first film had only been out a few years, but I certainly enjoyed them. In fact, I still do! To date, I've seen all of the films besides the dual-Victini ones, but they're certainly on my radar. Which leads me nicely into... the point of this article!

A trailer has just aired, showing off the fifteenth of the Pokémon films. It's set to feature Kyurem, that giant, bird-like... thing, and the most recent legendary trio. It's also a celebration of fifteen years of animated Pokémon movies, so I'm sure there will be plenty of celebratory events strewn across Japan over the upcoming months. The film will release sometime next year, but until then, you can check out the teaser trailer after the jump! Warning, there is a giant Pikachu and a terrifying hand puppet involved.
