Growing up, I always loved the original Ninja Gaiden series. In fact, the NES version of Ninja Gaiden 2 had probably spent more time in the cartridge slot than any other game I owned, except maybe Final Fantasy, or Dragon Warrior. You can imagine how pleased I was to see the series revived by Tecmo's Team Ninja. So, when I heard that the developer responsible for the latest titles in the franchise, Tomonobu Itagaki, was leaving their company, I freaked out. Little did I know, we had nothing to worry about, and if the trailer for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 doesn't prove that, I don't know what will.
I'm sure our Destructoid brethren will go into a bit more detail about the title as it gets closer to its release date, but that doesn't mean it's not relevant to my interests--or that it shouldn't be to yours. The game looks absolutely fantastic, and despite the fact that I was underwhelmed with the 360 version of this game, I'm actually looking forward to seeing if the PS3 version will change my opinion. Oh, and there's apparently "breast controls". That's gotta be somewhat entertaining right?
But Ayane's English voice actor still sucks.
Loved the comic book type opening though.
