It's been two years since we have seen any sort of detail or footage related to Mamoru Nagano's upcoming Gothicmade film. To those that are unfamiliar with his works, he was involved with the designs for Zeta Gundam. However, one of his most noteworthy pieces is the Five Star Stories manga, which contains humans that have achieved the ability to live over thousands of years and detailed mechs that are powered by artificially created women. While I have only been able to read three or four chapters of the manga, Nagano's artwork is a sight to behold as you flip through each page.
Perhaps one of Gothicmade's strong points is that it's doing a fantastic job in translating Nagano's art style into animation, which is thanks to his involvement in other roles besides directing the movie. As for the story, all that we know about Gothicmade is that it involves a song maiden known as Berin that has to plant special seeds that will act as a beacon of hope for mankind. I will admit that it's not much to go by, but something tells me that Nagano's film will not disappoint us.
If everything goes well in everyone's favor, then Gothicmade will arrive in Japanese theaters on November 1st. Before I get too excited, let's hope that the movie does not go through another delay.
