Code Geass: Akito the Exiled episode 2 is looking good

10:21 PM on 01.31.2013 // Elliot Gay

I'm the last person you'd call a fan of either Code Geass TV series. I will however say that I think they're beautifully animated pieces of television that I don't regret watching, even if the actual story and cast did nothing for me.

Enter Akito the Exiled, the new OVA series. I caught the first episode when it aired last year and enjoyed it far more than I expected to. In fact, I liked it so much that I purchased the BD last week. The production values truly shine in HD, and if you have any interest in the series, you might want to grab a copy. For those who might be on the fence without Japanese skills, the disc features English subtitles. Huzzah!

I know folks seem to hate CG whenever it pops up in anime, but I think that studio Orange is really doing amazing work on the mech animation here.

Unfortunately, episode 2 of Akito has been delayed until an unspecified date. In the meantime though, how bout we all just sit back and enjoy the new trailer that's now available?
