Code Geass spin-off gets the trailer treatment

As we creep ever closer to the August 4th release date, more and more information on the new Code Geass project seems to be surfacing. Understandable, considering how highly the franchise is regarded over there. Today saw the release of a short trailer, which shows off just enough of the OVA to wet your appetite.

As you may have seen in one of our earlier stories, Code Geass Gaiden: Boukoku no Akito is going to be released in cinemas rather than being shown on TV. There will be four instalments in total, with DVD and Blu-ray versions coming about three months after their respective showings.

I must say that the 3D they're using for the knightmare frames looks pretty darn cool! Fingers crossed that the story holds up to, but with the theatrical release it certainly seems that they are confident. Also, you can hit the jump for a promotional TV advert for the show. It can't hurt, can it?
