As I was browsing the magazine section of the local Borders bookstore I found a copy of the newest issue of Computer Arts Projects. It is a UK based magazine that has numerous tutorials, designs, tips, etc. to help in digital art creation. Issue 118, which is on stands now in America, is completely dedicated to the Japanese style of art.
The cover is gorgeously adorned with Simone Legno's beautiful artwork on both the front and back, and it features many more artists inside, including Jon Burgerman of vinyl toy fame. Some of the tutorials inside include creating a Zen-style design, designing Japanese-style graffiti anddigital manga illustration. As an artist the articles were extremely useful and I couldn't get enough of the gorgeous artwork all throughout the magazine.
All of the tutorials are included on the CD that comes with the magazine, as well as demos for Anime Studio, COMICWORKS, Manga Studio EX, Daz Studio and several Photoshop brushes. If any of this happens to strike your fancy, head over to your local bookstore now and pick yourself up a copy. Check out the gallery for more images of the fantastic magazine.
