This weekend in Japan is a big one for fans of Gundam. It's even bigger this weekend due to the confirmation of the Gundam UC (Unicorn) anime. As the title states, the series is going to be released in 6, 50 minute episodes on DVD and Blu-Ray. While this may disappoint some, as most would expect fansubs to readily available shortly after release, there's a better option. Gundam UC will be the first series by Bandai to be released simultaneously across the world. We will be seeing Unicorn the day that Japan does, so you'll just have to wait until Spring of 2010 to get the series in stores and most likely online.

I personally cannot wait for this series enough. I need some new Universal Century series that don't take place in 0079.
