CyberConnect2's CEO runs in marathon as NarutoIf you can believe it, CyberConnect2 has sold over ten million Naruto videogames. That's kind of crazy, but the franchise is such a juggernaut that it doesn't seem unreasonable. To celebrate the milestone, president and CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama pledged to run the Paris Marathon dressed like Naruto, complete with face-paint for his whisker marks. Of course, running a marathon is hard work. Hell, back when I ran cross country in high school, even a ten mile race could be hard. I'm not sure I'll ever manage to run a marathon like my dad has, because 26.2 miles seems like a death march. Needless to say, Matsuyama was rather unprepared, making it only 22km (or about 13.6 miles) before giving up. In penance, he took pictures of himself with the word "loser" written on his face and uploaded it to CyberConnect2's blog. At least he's being upfront about it, and 13 miles is not bad for someone who obviously wasn't trained. I wonder how many of these crazy guys actually finished the Tokyo Marathon?
