Hyperdimension Neptunia has been on my RPG radar for a while now. The fact that it's pretty hard to find in the wild, coupled with hearing mixed opinions about the series as a whole, means that I just haven't got around to it. Now, I certainly have plenty of time for anime if Annotated Anime is anything to go by, so an anime adaptation could be good, right? Well, in theory, but let's wait and see.

What has really caught my interest is the news that David Production are going to be the folks behind the animation. For those of you who aren't familiar with the name, they are the guys behind Ben-to, Inu x Boku SS and more recently, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It certainly seems that a story that has made cute girls out of video game consoles and companies is a pretty good fit, don't you think?

And now, the waiting game begins. I feel that there's going to be a lot riding on the adverts when they appear, as Hyperdimension Neptunia already has a pretty strong visual style. I'm also hoping that there will be more to it than scantily-clad ladies, but perhaps those of you that have already given this game a whirl will be able to clue me in on that one?
